The program was limited to the first 300 qualified applicants, and the program is now full.

The City of Pickering offers a snow clearing program to assist with sidewalk snow clearing responsibilities and home access, for up to 300 qualified Pickering residents. In order to qualify for the program you must meet all of the following criteria.

• you are over 65 or have proof of permanent disability (certified by a doctor, as having a permanent physical or cognitive limitation which prohibits you from clearing snow)
   
• you live within the urban area of Pickering (south of the Third Concession Road)
   
• there is no one under the age of 65 residing in your home (with the exception of a person with a permanent physical or cognitive limitation which prohibits them from providing assistance)
